I really love this painting because my office is near this place. Every time I come back home I see this masterpiece who shows us the difficulty of the newest world. Show again the ecological problems. Also, represent the period of transition the country was going through after the revolution and, at the same time, draw public attention on the current environmental issues . Sometimes I stay a little bit in front of it to think about the problems. It's A very deep-mind artwork, when you look at it, you think about the little details like the arm on the back of the animal, or the color of the river.
J'aime vraiment ce tableau parce que mon bureau est près de cet endroit. Chaque fois que je rentre chez moi, je vois ce chef-d'œuvre qui nous montre la difficulté du monde le plus récent. Montrer à nouveau les problèmes écologiques. So it’s funny to think about it. I think it’s a beautiful piece of art because you can feel his depression. I did a presentation of it, in front of my whole class. And This artist really shows us his feelings and everything, so this canvas is made up of dark blue, the stars are very lighting and big, there is also a crescent moon that illuminates the whole canvas and makes it a little more joyful.
Et je n’ai pas que lui comme artiste préféré, il y en a pleins d’autres d'incroyables artistes, ma liste serait beaucoup trop longue à écrire. Today I want to speak to you about an art that I love personally : The Great Wave of Kanagawa. This is a painting which is named "The Great Wave of Kanagawa" and it was made by Katsushika Hokusai. This art comes from Japan. The main idea of this painting is three boats caught in a tsunami, they are sick and desperate. It's the representation of the power of nature. I understand the meaning of this painting, and I really like it. Because with this painting, we can understand the fact that, us, humans, can do anything against Nature. I don't really see a different message, but before seeing this message, I see the beautiful style of painting of this engraving. I personally love this painting.

I am not a huge fan of art. Although when I go to my friends house he has many beautiful paintings, I am a huge fan of the art he has around his house. To me, art really depends on the style of the house I don’t think surrealism would look good in houses. I think it is more of an image to look at and make you wonder. I love pictures of old southern houses with southern live oak with Spanish moss on them.

I'm literally so obsessed with Richard Siken's work. His poems are just so haunting! He's the main poet I read, but I'm currently working my way through an Emily Dickenson book. She's really good too, but her poems are sometimes harder to grasp. They are a lot shorter than Siken's poems though! Hope your spring is going well :)

I totally agree with you. It sounds like we are both practical thinkers haha. I couldn’t pursue art simply due to the fact I have not the talent nor the patience. I can most definitely appreciate what other artists create but couldn’t see it as a viable career path for me. Do you have ideas on future career paths? What universities are you thinking about in France? Or are you studying outside France?
Bonjour Samuelle ! Je n’ai pas un artiste préféré, mais j’ai les peintures que j’aime beaucoup. Je sais que Monet est un peu basic, mais j’aime « Wisteria » de Claude Monet. Les couleurs sont très belles et calmes, et j’adore l’aspect naturelle. Impressionnisme est trop belle d’ignorer. Malgré que je n’ai jamais pas aller là, j’adore les peintures de Venise et les autres sites en Italie. Par exemple, Antonietta Brandeis étais une artiste qui fait ce genre des peintures. Ses peintures sont dans mouvement de réalisme, donc ils semblent très réalistes. « Canal in Venice with View of the Back of the Palazzo Rocca » est un de mes favorites. L’art est très important pour moi parce qu’il peut communiquer les messages très profonds avec la peinture ou un stylo.
I looked into Frida Kahlo’s paintings, and they seem very cool and unique. I like how a lot of them are similar with the same woman but capture different scenes and emotions without changing her. She was actually married to Diego Rivera, who I researched a bit and wrote about for my English class last year! He painted a mural in Detroit, Michigan to depict the city’s industry. I recently discovered Soyoung L Kim's artwork. I have seen one of her more famous paintings "Adaption" in an article that I read. After looking at more of her artworks, I find it very beautiful in how she intertwines her emotions and message through colors and sometimes words in her artwork.

I think that paintings are really interesting and there are so many that I like. It's hard to choose one! Another painting, that is really popular, that I think is interesting is “The Starry Night” by Vincent Van Gogh. I like Van Gogh’s paintings because they are all realistic and each painting has the same brush mark look to it. I think going to art museums is really interesting because there are so many different forms of art and painting styles. Do you like to go to art museums? Another form of art that I like is dance. There are many different styles and techniques of dance that are very different from each other.

I love all types of art, mostly I like movies and film as an art form but I also love paintings. I love French artists because the colors are so beautiful in the pieces. I really like Ashley longshore as an artist too, she is such a cool person and I really hope to met her someday. I am not the best artist but I hope to get better at painting soon.

Hey Anselme, Orlando was FUN! My friends and I had a really good time in Orlando, FL for spring break. We spend three days at Disney Kingdom (all parks) and four days at Universal Studios. Although waking up at 7am everyday seemed to be a little off from normal vocation, we spend every second of our time in Orlando with great joy. How’s spring break like in France? It was my sister’s first time in New York, so it was so exciting to get to see her reactions to all the cool things I remember seeing there when I was her age. It was super cold, though. It was nice to have a break from school, but now we’re really close to the end of the year, which is exciting. When does your school finish for the year?
Je suis d’accord avec toi, la dix-huitième siècle a beaucoup de belles pièces d’art mais à mon avis j’adore l’art de la Renaissance et de la dix-neuvième siècle. Comme t’as dit, les détails sont très visibles et je pense que c’est magnifique. As-tu une style d’art préféré? En particulier, j’aime l’impressionnisme de les années 1800s, comme Monet, et les sculptures de la Renaissance, comme Michelangelo. Est-ce que tu aimes les sculptures? So many of these paintings and sculptures spark emotions which is why I love them so much. I love art that makes you stop and stare. Art that is extremely detailed and complex that tells a story making it stand out. One of my favorite sculptures and works of art is called Apollo and Daphne by Bernini and it can be seen in Florence, Italy, home to the Renaissance. I have never seen any of these works in person, but I can’t wait until I’m older so that I can travel to see their beauty up close!

DeBussy, un compositeur qui a écrit “Claire de Lune,” un morceau de musique avec le piano. Je ne suis pas très forte en arts, mais mon copain, qui s’appelle Pierce, est un artiste et il est très talentueux à la peinture. Hey Felix! I hope you’re doing well. I’m not the biggest art consumer, but I do think that art is very important and beautiful. While this is a bit cliche, I love Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh, as well as the entire impressionist style of art. I also love listening to classical music, particularly piano, including Claude DeBussy’s Claire de Lune. He was considered the first impressionist composer, but he did not like being called that. His music was a response to German style composition, and he was influenced heavily by other Russian composers.

This weekend I am going on a tour of the University of South Carolina. If I like it I will probably end up going there for college. Also, this weekend, I will be going to the Masters. The Masters is a huge golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia. I’m not very good at golf but I really enjoy watching it.

I have never been really very artistic, so I never really had any passion for it. I still like to look at art even though I know I could not do it myself. Are you an artist? Who’s is your favorite?
hi ash I don't have a favorite artist in particular, but my favorite painting is "water lilies" by Claude Monet, a French artist! I love it because the image is very serene and beautiful. En ce moment, mon artiste classique préféré est Ivan Aivazovsky. I also greatly enjoy more modern artworks and styles, but unfortunately don’t know many names. And if I do research, I don’t think it would count as my favorite. Some people I know can appreciate Romantic or other outdated art styles, but don’t prefer them to new techniques. Are you in agreement with them? Personally, I couldn’t choose one or the other. But I hope there is art you find interesting!

Après avoir appris l'histoire européenne, je me suis aussi intéressé à son histoire et à son développement. I was very much amazed by the almost instant catch of a scene that is created through impressionists’ artworks. They focus on that instant feeling that is created when they see a scene, and it is captured through big strokes and vague outlines of those object. I find this style of art fascinating and my own artworks were very much influenced from it.

I really love this painting because my office is near this place. Every time I come back home I see this masterpiece who shows us the difficulty of the newest world. Show again the ecological problems. Also, represent the period of transition the country was going through after the revolution and, at the same time, draw public attention on the current environmental issues
. Sometimes I stay a little bit in front of it to think about the problems.
It's A very deep-mind artwork, when you look at it, you think about the little details like the arm on the back of the animal, or the color of the river.

ReplyDeleteI love street art, this is so expressive! It lets the imagination of people believe the story of the art, because actually we don’t know how the man did that painting. So it’s funny to think about it. Sometime it’s can be beautiful and some time it's misted up but that is the process of success so it's interesting to see how people can do better if they practice.

Also in classes and on assignment worksheets I’m always drawing to distract myself… My teacher on the technique of drawing itself was my grandfather, who does it excellently. I think it’s a beautiful piece of art because you can feel his depression. I did a presentation of it, in front of my whole class. And This artist really shows us his feelings and everything, so this canvas is made up of dark blue, the stars are very lighting and big, there is also a crescent moon that illuminates the whole canvas and makes it a little more joyful.
Et je n’ai pas que lui comme artiste préféré, il y en a pleins d’autres d'incroyables artistes, ma liste serait beaucoup trop longue à écrire.
Mais par rapport au tableau, l’artiste a raconté qu’il était en hôpitaux en cause de sa dépression et qu’il devait la soignée, donc le tableau est la représentation de ce qu’il voit à travers sa fenêtre, c’est à dire le village, l'église, le lune, les étoiles, le grand arbre tout devant le tableau.

Today I want to speak to you about an art that I love personally : The Great Wave of Kanagawa. This is a painting which is named "The Great Wave of Kanagawa" and it was made by Katsushika Hokusai. This art comes from Japan. The main idea of this painting is three boats caught in a tsunami, they are sick and desperate. It's the representation of the power of nature.
I understand the meaning of this painting, and I really like it. Because with this painting, we can understand the fact that, us, humans, can do anything against Nature. I don't really see a different message, but before seeing this message, I see the beautiful style of painting of this engraving. I personally love this painting.

I am not a huge fan of art. Although when I go to my friends house he has many beautiful paintings, I am a huge fan of the art he has around his house. To me, art really depends on the style of the house I don’t think surrealism would look good in houses. I think it is more of an image to look at and make you wonder. I love pictures of old southern houses with southern live oak with Spanish moss on them.

I'm literally so obsessed with Richard Siken's work. His poems are just so haunting! He's the main poet I read, but I'm currently working my way through an Emily Dickenson book. She's really good too, but her poems are sometimes harder to grasp. They are a lot shorter than Siken's poems though! Hope your spring is going well :)

Je suis allé dans un lieu d'art récemment et j'ai vraiment apprécié la photographie. J'aime les photos de nature. Ce lien est une photo de quelque chose que j'ai vu dans le Colorado. C'est difficile à voir mais la peinture est en fait presque en 3D. Les fleurs se détachent de la toile. Je pensais que c'était super cool. J'espère qu'à l'avenir, je pourrai aller dans plus de galeries d'art. Aimes-tu regarder l'art? Aimes-tu la photographie? Je pense que tu as choisi une œuvre d'art qui est très cool. I totally agree with you. It sounds like we are both practical thinkers haha. I couldn’t pursue art simply due to the fact I have not the talent nor the patience. I can most definitely appreciate what other artists create but couldn’t see it as a viable career path for me. Do you have ideas on future career paths? What universities are you thinking about in France? Or are you studying outside France?
Bonjour Samuelle ! Je n’ai pas un artiste préféré, mais j’ai les peintures que j’aime beaucoup. Je sais que Monet est un peu basic, mais j’aime « Wisteria » de Claude Monet. Les couleurs sont très belles et calmes, et j’adore l’aspect naturelle. Impressionnisme est trop belle d’ignorer. Malgré que je n’ai jamais pas aller là, j’adore les peintures de Venise et les autres sites en Italie. Par exemple, Antonietta Brandeis étais une artiste qui fait ce genre des peintures. Ses peintures sont dans mouvement de réalisme, donc ils semblent très réalistes. « Canal in Venice with View of the Back of the Palazzo Rocca » est un de mes favorites. L’art est très important pour moi parce qu’il peut communiquer les messages très profonds avec la peinture ou un stylo.

I like how a lot of them are similar with the same woman but capture different scenes and emotions without changing her. She was actually married to Diego Rivera, who I researched a bit and wrote about for my English class last year! He painted a mural in Detroit, Michigan to depict the city’s industry. Je ne pas beaucoup de information des arts, mais j’adore les musée. Je aller tout le musée en New York City et les peintures est très belle. Les peintures de Pablo Picasso je suis d’accord est très belle. Mais, si je choisi, j’aimerais Soyoung L Kim. Elle une artiste moderne de Corée. J’aime comment elle jouer avec les colours en la peinture. Si j'habit en un grande ville avec beaucoup de museé, j'aimerais aller à museé et juste regarde les arts. Parce que je dessiner en temps du temps, je connue les temps et emotion que les artists donneé leur arts.

I recently discovered Soyoung L Kim's artwork. I have seen one of her more famous paintings "Adaption" in an article that I read. After looking at more of her artworks, I find it very beautiful in how she intertwines her emotions and message through colors and sometimes words in her artwork.

I think that paintings are really interesting and there are so many that I like. It's hard to choose one! Another painting, that is really popular, that I think is interesting is “The Starry Night” by Vincent Van Gogh. I like Van Gogh’s paintings because they are all realistic and each painting has the same brush mark look to it. I think going to art museums is really interesting because there are so many different forms of art and painting styles. Do you like to go to art museums? Another form of art that I like is dance. There are many different styles and techniques of dance that are very different from each other.

Alors, je crois que t’es très intéressé par ce thème. Franchement pas moi, mais si je dois parler des artistes, je vais te recommander deux: Salvador Dali et Joaquin Sorolla. Tous les deux sont espagnols, et je les aime trop. Je pense que le premier c’est plus la curiosité qui m'intéresse, arriver à comprendre ce qu' il y avait dans la tête de l’artiste. Sorolla c’est plus ce qui représente, j’ai un très bon souvenir avec ma grand-mère et ses œuvres.

Lorsque je voyage dans différentes villes, les peintures colorées sur les murs et les sols reflèt l’ attitude de ses habitants. Je vais à la frontière américano-mexicaine la semaine prochaine, et j'ai vu beaucoup d'art sur le "mur". Je partagerai plus de photos la prochaine fois que nous parlerons. Mon type d'art préféré est la calligraphie chinoise. C'est un style d'écriture que les gens utilisent dans les temps anciens. Bien que les gens arrêtent d'écrire à l'ancienne, la calligraphie a été une partie importante de notre vie.

I hope all is well with you. When I was asked this question I immediately thought of all the music I listen to but some people think music isn’t a form of art. Do you consider music to be art or if not is there certain songs that are music and others that are not. I don’t really know a whole lot about paintings but I do know about Peter Max becuase my family has several of his paintings in our home. Comme t’as dit, les détails sont très visibles et je pense que c’est magnifique. As-tu une style d’art préféré? En particulier, j’aime l’impressionnisme de les années 1800s, comme Monet, et les sculptures de la Renaissance, comme Michelangelo. Est-ce que tu aimes les sculptures? Pour moi je préfère les arts historiques qui dépictent l’histoire, la réligion, et la mythologie à cause de la grande beauté et détail aussi ils ont les histoires intéressant.
So many of these paintings and sculptures spark emotions which is why I love them so much. I love art that makes you stop and stare. Art that is extremely detailed and complex that tells a story making it stand out. One of my favorite sculptures and works of art is called Apollo and Daphne by Bernini and it can be seen in Florence, Italy, home to the Renaissance. I have never seen any of these works in person, but I can’t wait until I’m older so that I can travel to see their beauty up close!

J’aime ça parce que l’image est très sereine et belle. Un autre artiste que j’aime est Claude (deux claudes!) DeBussy, un compositeur qui a écrit “Claire de Lune,” un morceau de musique avec le piano. Je ne suis pas très forte en arts, mais mon copain, qui s’appelle Pierce, est un artiste et il est très talentueux à la peinture. Merci pour la recommandation pour Otto Dix, parce que je ne regarde pas peintures comme ça avec les horreurs de la guerre, mais je pense qu' il est très important.

I hope you’re doing well. I’m not the biggest art consumer, but I do think that art is very important and beautiful. While this is a bit cliche, I love Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh, as well as the entire impressionist style of art. I also love listening to classical music, particularly piano, including Claude DeBussy’s Claire de Lune. He was considered the first impressionist composer, but he did not like being called that. His music was a response to German style composition, and he was influenced heavily by other Russian composers.

Mon artiste préféré est Travis Scott. Ça c’est par ce que je suis allé à un concert de lui quand j’ai eu seize ans. C’était tellement amusant. Puis, mon chanson préféré de Travis Scott est “90210”. This weekend I am going on a tour of the University of South Carolina. If I like it I will probably end up going there for college. Also, this weekend, I will be going to the Masters. The Masters is a huge golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia. I’m not very good at golf but I really enjoy watching it.

Si je devrais choisir un seul morceau musical, ça serait le deuxième concerto pour piano de Rachmaninov. Je l’écoute quand je veux lire et être concentré. Cependant, j’adore aussi écouter les chansons sur le top 50 mondial de Spotify.

Il a travaillé dans les années 1840-1860 et a peint des paysages de l'océan, montrant souvent la différence entre les gens et la nature. Ma mère aime beaucoup son art, et il y a une reproduction chez elle. Je pourrais donc être partial. I also greatly enjoy more modern artworks and styles, but unfortunately don’t know many names. And if I do research, I don’t think it would count as my favorite. Some people I know can appreciate Romantic or other outdated art styles, but don’t prefer them to new techniques. Are you in agreement with them? Personally, I couldn’t choose one or the other. But I hope there is art you find interesting!
(And I don't listen to enough rap music to have a favorite artist)

Précisément j’aime le photographie du animal parce le qualité est tres tres bonne et j’aime les animals en général aussi. J’aime le photographie du l’eau comme l’océan quand les poisons est nages.
I’ve never really been a big fan of art myself and ive never really been the most artistic person but i like looking at some types of art. I went to Washington, D.C. in 8th grade and there was some really cool and enjoyable art from a good while ago and i found looking at it very intriguing and it changed my point of view on art. Mon travail préféré est "Nighthawks" il est une peinture très populaire, je mettrai il sous. J’amour Monet aussi, son travail est très beau et je le regarderais tout le temps si j’étais pouvait.
Other than the two painters I mentioned above, I also love a lot of music, like jazz and hip-hop artists, but I’m assuming this prompt is only concerning artists like painters, not musicians. One class I’ve been taking this year, Art History, has allowed me to look at art throughout human history which has been a very difficult yet rewarding class.

ReplyDeleteMon style artistique préféré est l'impressionnisme. Les artistes impressionnistes créent de la lumière et de l'ombre dans leurs dessins qui sont très jolis pour moi. Après avoir appris l'histoire européenne, je me suis aussi intéressé à son histoire et à son développement.
I was very much amazed by the almost instant catch of a scene that is created through impressionists’ artworks. They focus on that instant feeling that is created when they see a scene, and it is captured through big strokes and vague outlines of those object. I find this style of art fascinating and my own artworks were very much influenced from it.
